Although possibly not on everyone’s vacation radar a trip to Tamarac will be highly rewarding for those who are visiting the Sunshine State. The area boasts great natural and cultural attractions, as well as a ‘shop (and eat) till you drop’ culture that offers ample opportunity to enjoy the finer things in life while you take in Florida’s famous sunshine filled days.

So if you’re in the area what are some of the best attractions offered by Tamarac?

#1 Butterfly World.

Less than 7 miles from central Tamarac is the largest Butterfly house in the United States. With three acres of wonderful family fun including some of the rarest and most beautiful butterflies in the world, as well as two aviaries with a wide variety of birds (including hummingbirds) this attraction makes for a wonderful day out for the entire family.

#2 The Old Dillard Art and Cultural Museum.

Celebrating the culture and achievements of the Black community of Broward County, this is a fantastic place to learn about the contributions of individuals who made Tamarac (and Broward Country) the diverse cultural melting pot that it is today.

#3 The Coral Springs Aquatic Center.

Only minutes from the Tamarac to center one finds the Coral Springs Aquatic Center. This center is home to some of the most advanced aquatic facilities in the United States. For those who want to keep in shape during their visit to the area, this is a must stop attraction.

#4 Central Broward Regional Park.

Central Broward Regional Park is a great place just to sit back and relax and take in some Florida sunshine. Unusually this park was designed to showcase cricket – hardly one of America’s most popular pastimes. However, if you’re looking for the sedated excitement of this global game, the park will supply it with regular games taking place. The park has also hosted Australian Football games in the past.

#5 The Young At Art Museum.

For families with kids, the Young At Art Museum is a great place to spend the day. This is one of the accredited cultural attractions in Broward County and is great for kids to learn about and enjoy art in a comfortable interactive way. A combination of fun and education this is a perfect day out.

Visit Tamarac and get a great vacation experience that combines fun in the sun with culture and history. When in Florida be certain to put aside some time to enjoy this slice of the Florida experience.
